Emmy-winning dancer and choreographer Derek Hough brings his holiday dance show 'Dance For The Holidays' to the Eccles Theater.
Derek Hough brings his holiday dance show, Dance For The Holidays, to the Eccles Theater on Monday, December 28, 2026. It's a homecoming of sorts: Hough started dancing here in Salt Lake City when he was 11, long before he became a household name. He's an Emmy Award-winning dancer, choreographer, author, and television personality, and this is a holiday production built around his dancing.
If you've followed his career, you know the numbers. He's a four-time Emmy winner with 13 nominations, which ties him for the most in Television Academy history. He's the current host of Extra and a judge on Dancing with the Stars, where he's the only six-time champion in the franchise's history. His stage and screen credits run from Radio City Music Hall's Spring Spectacular to the West End production of Footloose and NBC's Hairspray Live! in 2016. He also co-hosted World of Dance alongside Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo, and his memoir, Taking the Lead: Lessons from a Life in Motion, became a New York Times bestseller. These days he tours with his Symphony of Dance Encore production alongside his wife, Hayley Erbert Hough.

Dance For The Holidays is the holiday-themed show he's bringing to the city this December. It's a dance performance, so the focus is on the movement rather than a script or a traditional plot. The show takes place in Delta Hall at the Eccles Theater, on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City. Doors open at 7 PM, and the performance starts at 8 PM on Monday, December 28.
