Botanical Painting for All

Botanical Painting for All is back at Red Butte Garden & Arboretum on Saturday, Nov 21, from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's part of the garden's adult education program, which looks at the seasonal plants and flowers growing on the grounds with a new subject and a new class every month. This one runs three hours, works in acrylic on canvas, and provides all the materials, so you just have to show up.

Katelyn Williams leads the session. She's the owner and operator of The Art Nomad, a Salt Lake City company that stages painting classes and art events. A lifelong art lover who's been teaching for years, she's enthusiastic about making art accessible to everyone, and that comes through in the way she runs the room.

Because it's part of a monthly series, you can drop in for this one without committing to the rest, but registration is required for each class. The session is held in the Red Butte Garden & Arboretum Classroom, located in the Rose House. It's $48 for Garden Members and $60 for the general public.
