Three nights of mountain-themed short films from around the world, covering climbing, skiing, kayaking and conservation, at Kingsbury Hall.
The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour is coming to Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City for three nights: Wednesday, February 17, Thursday, February 18, and Friday, February 19, 2027. Each night starts at 7 PM, and each one works as its own standalone program of short films, so you can catch one evening or all three without missing a beat.
The tour brings together a curated selection of mountain-themed films from around the world, known for their cinematography and stories from some of the most remote mountain regions on the planet. The range is pretty wide: you'll see rock climbing, skiing, and mountaineering alongside kayaking and environmental conservation. It's the kind of thing that works for outdoor enthusiasts and film lovers alike, with each night's program capturing that same spirit of exploration and discovery.
UtahPresents, a University of Utah program, is presenting the tour in partnership with Campus Recreation Services Outdoor Adventures. The festival is a global one, with the Banff Centre in Canada curating the selection and sending it out to audiences worldwide, so the films you'll see here are part of a much larger tour.
