Horror classics from aliens and slashers to witches and body horror screened across several weekends at the Broadway Centre Cinemas.
The Salt Lake Film Society is bringing back its Tower of Terror series at Broadway Centre Cinemas, running from September 11 through October 31. It's a horror marathon that stretches across the autumn, with screenings on Friday, October 23, Saturday, October 24, Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31βall starting at 7 PM.
The series is built around horror classics of all stripes, and the SLFS doesn't stick to one corner of the genre. They're pulling from across the board: aliens and slashers, witches, chainsaws and body horror. The whole point is to get these films back onto the big screen in a darkened theater, which is how they're meant to be seen. For horror fans, it's a recurring excuse to get scared at the cinema over several weekends leading up to Halloween.

If you're planning to go, the theater is at 111 East 300 South in downtown Salt Lake. There's a parking structure just to the east of the cinema, and they'll validate your parking for up to four hours, so you don't have to worry about the meter while you're inside. Every screening starts at 7 PM, and the run wraps up on Halloween night.
