A celebration of local small Asian-owned businesses featuring K-pop mat pilates, live music, Chinese martial arts, dancing, and vendor sales.
SARDUC and RDUAE are putting on a Fall Fest at The Corner @ NCSU Centennial on Saturday, October 17, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. It's a celebration of local small Asian-owned businesses, hosted by two Asian cultural groups in the area: Subtle Asian RDU Crew, a friendship meetup group, and RDU Asian Eats, a community of foodies that supports local businesses. The day mixes live performances with vendor sales and beginner-friendly Hong Kong-style mahjong.
The morning starts with K-pop mat pilates by Kntrology at 9:30 AM. From 10:30 AM, the vendor sales open up, and Pung Fu Hustle Social Club runs open-play Chinese mahjong for anyone who wants to learn. The music kicks in around the same time, with Mangolia playing at 10:30 AM, followed by Bao Vuong at 11:30 AM, and live hip hop from SAKY at 12:30 PM. After the music, East Cloud Kung Fu performs Chinese martial arts at 1:00 PM, and the day closes with dancing from Ánh Vàng, doing K-pop, and Chhitij, doing Bollywood, at 1:30 PM.
