A festive holiday tradition featuring seasonal lights, activities, and a holiday train ride through Pullen Park.
Pullen Park Holiday Express returns to Pullen Park this winter, running nightly from Dec. 1 to 17, from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. It's a holiday tradition that brings festive lights, seasonal activities, and holiday magic to the park, and it's presented by WRAL.
If you've been following it for a while, you know how much it's grown. The first edition back in 2007 lasted only four days and drew about 5,000 people; by 2025, it was bringing in an estimated 40,000. It returned after a two-year hiatus, staging its first edition since 2019, and the park recently added a new electric train engine that hit the tracks on April 1. The experience is run in partnership with the Crabtree Rotary Club and the City of Raleigh, and all proceeds support future events and local and international charities, including Wake Up and Read, Green Door Project, Sleep In Heavenly Peace, and Meals on Wheels.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Raleigh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Tickets are $21 plus taxes and fees, and they go on sale Oct. 15 at 9 AM through Ticketmaster. Everyone over the age of one needs their own ticket. Historically, tickets have sold out within a few hours, so if you're planning to go, you'll want to be ready when they drop. Throughout the run, WRAL gives away VIP family four-packs as well. With the event running nightly from Dec. 1 to 17, from 5 PM to 9:30 PM, you've got plenty of dates to choose from.
