A family musical based on the 2003 Disney/Pixar film, with a score by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, designed for young audiences.
Finding Nemo opens at the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre on February 19 and runs through March 7, 2027. It's a family musical based on the 2003 Disney/Pixar film written by Andrew Stanton, Bob Peterson, and David Reynolds and directed by Stanton. The story follows Marlin, an anxious and overprotective clownfish living on the Great Barrier Reef with his son, Nemo, and the epic odyssey he sets off across the ocean when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, aided along the way by characters like Dory, Crush, and the Tank Gang.
This stage version is a new musical written specifically for young audiences, and it runs about 60 minutes with no intermission. The score comes from Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the songwriting team behind Frozen and Coco. It's part of the Family Series of Raleigh Little Theatre's 2026-2027 season, which is the company's 90th year. That series is built around creating opportunities for young people to grow as students and artists.
