Musical comedy retelling of the classic fairy tale by Raleigh Little Theatre, marking its 42nd year.
Raleigh Little Theatre brings back Cinderella to the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre starting December 4, 2026. It's a musical comedy retelling of the classic fairy tale, and for those who've been around the local scene for a while, it's a bit of a holiday tradition hereβthis marks its 42nd year on the company's stage.
The music is by Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy, with Eiler also handling the adaptation and lyrics, all based on Charles Perrault's original fairy tale. It's billed as a retelling filled with music, laughs, and magic, featuring a Fairy Godmother and a resourceful Ella. The show runs about 90 minutes with no intermission, so you're in and out in one go.
It's part of a big year for the company, which is celebrating its 90th season. Along with Cinderella, the season includes the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away and Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, staged as a tribute to the playwright, whom the company lost in 2025.
