Raleigh Little Theatre's production of the classic tale Charlotte's Web, adapted by Joseph Robinette, a heartwarming story about friendship and loyalty.
Raleigh Little Theatre brings Charlotte's Web to the Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre from April 9 to 25, 2027. It's a stage adaptation of E.B. White's classic book, with the script by Joseph Robinette.
If you know the story, you know the basics: Wilbur, a small pig with a big heart, finds an unexpected champion in Charlotte, a wise spider with a talent for writing. With the help of Fern, who understands the language of animals, and Templeton, a reluctant but resourceful rat, Charlotte hatches a plan to change Wilbur's fate, and mysterious messages begin appearing in her web. It's a story about loyalty, kindness, and what it actually means to be a friend.
The production is part of the theatre's Family Series, which they describe as a strand of programming that reflects their commitment to theatre across generations and to creating opportunities for young people to grow as students and artists. They've billed Charlotte's Web as a 'Heartfelt Classic' within that series, and it arrives during the company's 90th season, led by Producing Artistic Director Michele Weathers.
