Grammy Award-winning Americana folk music from The Okee Dokee Brothers at the Aladdin Theater, all ages.
The Okee Dokee Brothers play the Aladdin Theater on Sunday, October 18, with doors at 10 AM and the show starting at 11 AM. It's an all-ages general admission show, so it's as much for families as it is for anyone who just likes Americana folk music.
If you're not familiar with them, they've put out eight albums over the last eighteen years. They started with Kids with Beards in 2008, followed by ¡Excelente Fabuloso! in 2010, Through the Woods in 2014, Saddle Up in 2016, Winterland in 2018, Songs For Singin' in 2020, and Brambletown in 2023. Their most recent, Little Old You, came out in 2025, so they're touring with a fresh record in the mix. Between the new material and the older songs, there's a lot of ground they can cover in one set.
They've picked up a Grammy along the way, and the whole thing fits into that Americana folk tradition—acoustic, song-driven, and written for all ages. The Aladdin Theater, at 3017 SE Milwaukie Ave, is a live-music venue in Portland that regularly books jazz, with artists like Al Di Meola taking the stage, so this is a bit of a change in pace for the room.
