Stand-up show by New York comedian Giulio Gallarotti at the Neon Room of Helium Comedy Club, a 21+ show with a two-item minimum.
Giulio Gallarotti is playing The Neon Room at Helium Comedy Club on Wednesday, October 21, at 8 PM. He's a New York City-based stand-up comedian, actor, host, and podcaster who spends most of his time working out of the East Coast, so this is one of those nights when a regular NYC face makes the trip out to Portland.
If you haven't come across his name before, you might recognize his work from a few different places. He made his Netflix stand-up debut on Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends back in June 2022, and his podcast Oops is a regular on the iTunes charts. On screen, he's appeared on Peacock's Bupkis, Hulu's Ramy, AXS Gotham Comedy Live, and MTV's Totally Clueless and Girl Code, as well as Comedy Central and Sirius XM radio. He's a working comic who performs regularly at clubs in New York and across the country, so this is a standard set from a guy who's in the room most nights.
There's a bit more to him than just the club circuit, too. Gallarotti is an avid traveler who's filmed projects in some pretty unexpected spots: Places You Can Go took him to Iraq and Afghanistan, and Standup in Rwanda: It's Not So Different did exactly what the title says. While he was in Afghanistan, he started a school system in a rural area that now employs nine faculty and teaches more than 400 boys and girls. It's a side of his life that doesn't always make it into the comedy club bio, but it gives you a sense of where he's been.
