First-ever TRACE Small Publishers Fair celebrating independent publishing and artist-led print culture.
TRACE are hosting their first-ever Small Publishers Book Fair at Market Hall, Devonport, and it's a two-day affair running from Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 September. It's the first time they've put on a fair like this, and the whole thing is built around independent publishing and artist-led print culture. If you're into zines, small-press books, and the kind of print that comes from artists rather than big publishing houses, that's exactly what this is.
Because it's a fair, the focus is on the makers themselves. You'll find small publishers and artists with their work on the table, so it's as much about talking to the people behind the books as it is about browsing. It's a good spot to pick up things you won't find in a high-street bookshop—the kind of independent titles and artist-led prints that usually only exist in small runs.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Plymouth and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a weekend, not a one-off, so you've got two days to work through it. Both days run from 12pm to 5pm, and it's all held at Market Hall, Devonport, in Plymouth. If you're coming from across the city, it's worth remembering it's a double-header, so you can drop in on Saturday and come back Sunday if you missed something the first time around. Both days are 12pm to 5pm.
