Plymouth Christmas Market

Plymouth Christmas Market opens in the city centre on Thursday 26 November and runs through to Sunday 20 December 2026. It's an all-new addition to the city's festive calendar, with up to 50 twinkling wooden chalets set up across the centre for the nearly month-long run.

Inside the chalets, you'll find artisan crafts, unique gifts and street food from around the world. It's a good spot to pick up a few bits of Christmas shopping without having to head to a big retail park, and the food stalls mean you can grab something to eat while you're at it. Alongside the chalets, there's a lively German Bar serving mulled wine and other festive drinks, so it works as a place to wander through on your own or to meet up with friends for a drink.

The market is run by Plymouth City Centre Company and Market Place Europe, who built it as a festive market for the local community and for visitors to the city and the South West. That's a fair bit of ground to cover, so it's as much for people who live here as it is for those coming in from across the region. With the chalets spread through the city centre, it's easy to drop in and out of during the day or make an evening of it.

It opens on Thursday 26 November and stays until Sunday 20 December, giving you plenty of time to visit across the run. If you're planning to get your shopping sorted, it's worth keeping in mind that the market runs right up to the 20th, so you've got a good window to work with before the big day.
