Plymouth Bricktacular

Plymouth Bricktacular returns to the YMCA Kitto Centre on Saturday 22 August, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. It's put on by PlymLUG, a group of LEGO fans, for LEGO fans, and it brings a day of colourful displays, imaginative creations and community spirit back to South Devon.

Alongside the model displays, there are hands-on building activities and minifigure hunts to get stuck into, and trader stalls offering rare sets and accessories, with a pick-a-brick among the vendors. One of the bigger draws is the Plymouth Brick Railway, a huge LEGO train layout that runs through the hall. The organisers keep the trader tables to no more than 10% of the venue's capacity, so the focus stays on the displays rather than the shopping.

If you're taking children or just prefer a quieter environment, there's a dedicated quieter session from 14:30 to 16:00 for anyone seeking a more relaxed atmosphere. By attending, you directly support a YMCA youth community project, and the day is billed as having something for LEGO enthusiasts, curious visitors and families alike. The organisers note that LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse the event.

Tickets are £6.14 for adults (16+), £5.04 for children (4-15), and £16.96 for a family of two adults and two children, with children aged 3 and under free. You'll find it at the Kitto Centre, Honicknowle Lane, Plymouth PL5 3NG, open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
