A humorous, multi-sensory play for parents and babies, with a guided Stay and Play session after each performance.
A Tale of Us runs at The Lab in Theatre Royal Plymouth on 30 and 31 October, a new play for parents and their babies. It's described as humorous, frank and charming, mixing drama with multi-sensory play in a relaxed, aesthetically designed space. The age recommendation is 0-18 months, so it's built for the very early stages of parenthood.

What sets it apart from a standard show is the 'Stay and Play' session that follows every performance. It's a guided slot where everyone can explore the world of the play and meet other parents and babies, so you're not just watching and leaving — there's a social side to it too.
It's part of the Theatre Royal's half-term family programme, which runs a few different things across the site. If you've got older children in the mix, The Colour of Dinosaurs is in The Drum from 28 October to 1 November for ages 5 and up, and King Arthur is in The Lyric on 1 November for those 8 and over. If you're just looking for something for the baby, A Tale of Us is the one.
Tickets are available from the Theatre Royal Plymouth box office on 01752 267222 or online at theatreroyal.com.
