Murder Mystery Night - The Barbican Boys

The Barbican Boys is a murder mystery theatre experience coming to Boringdon Hall Hotel and Spa on Friday 29 January 2027. It's a full evening, running from 19:00 to 23:00, and it's set right here in Plymouth, back in 1929.

The story follows brothers Arthur and Edward Stone, who rose from humble beginnings to run the city's docks and its criminal underbelly. Their private club, The Stone House, sits at the heart of that empire. When a shocking murder rocks the club, the brothers find themselves caught in a web of deception as old rivalries resurface and secrets long buried threaten to bring everything crashing down. It's a classic setup—a closed room, a dead body, and a lot of people with something to hide—and the whole thing is rooted in the city's own history.

Because it's a murder mystery, you're not just watching a play; you're part of the evening. The action takes place over four hours, so there's plenty of time to pick up clues and work out who's lying before the reveal. It's the kind of thing that works best as a group, where you can spend the night swapping theories with the people you've come with.
