Free scavenger hunt at The Frick Pittsburgh in which visitors track Gail the goose across the grounds to reunite her with her flock.
The Frick Pittsburgh is hosting the Wild Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt on Friday, October 23, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's a free event open to everyone, and it's built around one of the museum's most famous residents: Gail the goose.
Here's how it works. You start at the Grable Visitor Center, the modern building at the end of the parking lot, where you'll pick up a Scavenger Hunt Sheet. From there, you track Gail across the grounds, following the clues to reunite her with her flock. Once you've finished the sheet, you hand it back to a staff member at the front desk to claim a prize. Everyone has to check in at the Grable Visitor Center when they arrive, so that's your first stop before you head out into the hunt.
If you've never spent a full day at The Frick, it's a good excuse to see the whole campus. It's a Gilded Age estate that brings together a few different worlds in one spot: the restored Clayton family home, The Frick Art Museum, a Car and Carriage Museum, and a working Greenhouse and Gardens. The scavenger hunt takes you across the grounds, so you'll be moving between these spaces as you go.
