Over-21s-only preview of the Rock 'n' Roar concert series with live music across the zoo grounds, firepits, s'mores and specialty cocktails.
Rock 'n' Roar: Autumn Nights comes to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium on Thursday, November 5, from 6:30 to 10 PM. It's a special preview of the Rock 'n' Roar concert series the Zoo is bringing in this fall, so it's a first look at what the rest of the season will hold. The night is for over-21s only, and the music is scattered across the grounds rather than staged at a single point, which means you'll be moving around the Zoo to catch the different acts.
No Bad JuJu is on the bill, and they're one of the bands you'll find playing. The music is spread out, so you can drift from one performance to the next throughout the evening. Between sets, there are firepits and s'mores to keep you warm, along with specialty cocktails and spiked hot drinks. It's a night that leans into the autumn weather, with the drinks and the firepits as much a part of the evening as the music.

Because it's a preview of the full series, this is a good way to get a feel for how the Zoo is handling live music this season before the rest of the dates roll out. If you're into live music and don't mind a bit of walking to find the next band, it's a solid way to spend a Thursday night. It runs from 6:30 to 10 PM at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, and you'll need to be 21 or older to get in.
