Moonlight Mixer

Dave & Buster's in North Hills is turning into a haunted arcade for Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, with the Moonlight Mixer. It's an adults-only party that runs from 7 PM to 10 PM, and it's actually the second half of the venue's full Halloween celebration: they're doing a family-friendly Boo Bash during the day and this one once the sun goes down.

Your ticket gets you a few things right out of the gate. There's a Fright Bite Banquet served banquet-style, and three hours of unlimited game play on the blue and green swipe games. Between those, you can hit hundreds of arcade games in the Million Dollar Midway and win tickets for prizes. There's also a costume contest, and the winner walks away with free game play for a year, so it pays to put some effort into your outfit.

If you're not in the mood for games, the American restaurant serves chef-crafted dishes, and the premium bar has innovative cocktails, a wide wine selection, and more than 20 beers. You can spend the night bouncing between the arcade and the bar, or just settle in with a drink and watch the costumes roll through. It's a good spot if you want a Halloween plan that doesn't involve a house party or a crowded club.

Tickets start at $24.99 per person. The whole thing runs from 7 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, October 31, at Dave & Buster's in North Hills.
