All-ages day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium to celebrate orangutans, with visitors encouraged to dress in orange.
Orange is for Orangutan Day is coming to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium on Friday, November 13, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The day is built around one animal: the orangutan. The zoo's orangutans are the main feature, and the whole event is a chance to spend some time with them.
The hook is simple: wear orange. The zoo asks everyone who comes to dress in orange to show their support for the orangutans, so if you're heading over, dig out your orange shirt or sweater. It's an all-ages day, which makes it an easy one to bring the kids along forโthey'll probably get a kick out of the dress code as much as the animals.

If you're planning to go, the zoo is at 7370 Baker Street in Pittsburgh, PA 15206. It runs from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, so you've got a wide window to work withโyou can swing by in the morning, stay through the afternoon, or just drop in for a few hours. Since it's a full day, it's the kind of thing you can build a whole Friday around. Wear your orange, bring the family, and spend the day at the zoo.
