High-energy Halloween workshop for children in grades K-5 that explores the 'scary' through movement and engineering.
Attack Theatre is bringing Monster Machinery & Spooky Shape to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Brookline on Saturday, October 31. It's a high-energy Halloween workshop for kids in grades K-5, and it runs from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The session is built around the 'scary' side of things, but it looks at it through movement and engineering. The kids get to move their bodies and think about how things are put together, so it's as much about getting active as it is about figuring out how a machine works. It's the kind of thing that lets them run around and be a bit wild while still actually making something.
Attack Theatre is the group behind it, and the whole thing is run by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. If you've got kids in that K-5 range, it's a good way to burn off some Halloween energy on the day itself rather than waiting until the candy kicks in later that night.
