HallowZINE

HallowZINE is a spooky zine-making session at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Main in Oakland on Wednesday, October 28. It's a drop-in workshop aimed at teens and young adults, and the whole point is that you're not making a zine on your own—you're creating a single page for a collective one.

The session works around Halloween themes: fear, folklore, monsters, and the kind of dark imagination that usually comes out around this time of year. You work those ideas through art, collage, and words, so you can lean as hard into the visuals as you want or keep it more about the writing. Since it's a collective project, your page ends up alongside everyone else's, and the finished zine comes together from all those different contributions.

It's a drop-in, so you don't have to be there the whole time if you're just stopping by. The session runs from 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Main, 4400 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
