Halloween-themed edition of the Heinz History Center's trivia night, with teams testing their knowledge of creepy pop culture, haunted Pittsburgh history and horror films.
Hidden History Trivia Night returns to the Heinz History Center on Thursday, October 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This is the Halloween edition, which means the usual trivia format gets a spooky makeover: teams of up to ten people compete with questions on creepy pop culture, ominous Pittsburgh tales, and classic horror films. You'll be drawing on eerie local lore and horror cinema, so it's the kind of night where knowing your way around a slasher flick is just as useful as knowing your city's ghost stories.
The night is part of a larger October program at the Heinz History Center and Fort Pitt Museum, which they've framed as "family-friendly frights, haunted history, and Halloween fun," leaning into the spookier side of history. A cash bar and free snacks round out the evening, and the session is for ages 21 and older. If you're bringing the kids along to the museum otherwise, all children 17 and under get free admission to the Heinz History Center and Fort Pitt Museum under the Kamin "Free for Kids" initiative.
