Candlelight tribute concert with the string quartet Listeso (PIT) playing the music of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, with a setlist approved by composer Howard Shore.
Candlelight: The Lord of the Rings comes to the Omni William Penn Hotel on Sunday, December 6, 2026. It's a tribute concert that brings the music of Peter Jackson's trilogy to life, performed by a string quartet.
The whole evening is framed as a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the films, and the music of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King sits right at the center. The setlist and the music sheets were approved by Howard Shore, the official composer of the trilogy, so the arrangements are coming from the source.
Performing the set is Listeso, a string quartet based here in Pittsburgh. They'll be playing in the hotel's Historic Hotel Ballroom at 530 William Penn Pl, and the performance runs for 60 minutes. Doors open 45 minutes before the start, so you've got a bit of a window to get settled before things kick off.
