Candlelight tribute concert in which Listeso String Quartet plays Queen and ABBA hits in the Omni William Penn Hotel's Historic Hotel Ballroom.
Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA comes to the Omni William Penn Hotel on Sunday, October 25, with two more dates to follow on Sunday, November 29 and Saturday, December 26. The Listeso String Quartet handles the music, pairing Queen's rock anthems with ABBA's pop classics in a single set. You'll hear Bohemian Rhapsody, Dancing Queen, We Will Rock You, Waterloo and Mamma Mia played by the quartet and lit by candles. It's a tribute experience, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the artists or their estates.
The venue is the hotel's Historic Hotel Ballroom, which opened in 1916 as a Renaissance Revival masterpiece by Benno Janssen and Franklin Abbott, with Beaux-Arts and Art Deco details. Every guest gets an instant photo and a pack of three premium electric candles to take home. Seating is assigned on arrival within each zone, and there are no on-site ticket sales, so you'll need to book in advance. The minimum age is 8, and anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult.
