Candlelight concert in which the Listeso String Quartet plays hip-hop classics like 'Gangsta's Paradise' and 'I Like It' with LED candles.
Candlelight: Hip-Hop on Strings comes to the Omni William Penn Hotel on Sunday, December 13, for a one-hour show that puts hip-hop through a string quartet. The Listeso String Quartet takes the stage, and the room is lit by thousands of flameless LED candles rather than open flames. It's part of the Candlelight Concerts series, which pairs live performances with candlelit settings.
The hour-long program reimagines some of hip-hop's most iconic tracks performed live by the quartet. It leans on classics like Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise," Cardi B's "I Like It," and a Jay-Z medley. The whole thing is a tribute experience, not linked to, endorsed by, or sponsored by the original artists or their representatives.
