Candlelight concert by Listeso String Quartet, with 90s rock classics arranged for strings under LED candles in the Omni William Penn Hotel ballroom.
Listeso String Quartet is bringing a 90s unplugged program to the Omni William Penn Hotel on Sunday, December 6, 2026. It's part of the Candlelight series, which means the room is filled with thousands of flameless LED candles rather than a stage spotlight, and the music is played on strings. The quartet is performing a tentative program of 90s rock classics, and the list covers a lot of ground. You'll hear Foo Fighters' "Everlong," No Doubt's "Don't Speak," and The Cranberries' "Zombie," alongside Alanis Morissette's "Ironic," Oasis' "Wonderwall," and Radiohead's "High and Dry."
It doesn't stop at the radio hits, either. Metallica's "Enter Sandman" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" get the string treatment, as do Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge," Lenny Kravitz's "Fly Away," Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah," and Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." It's a tribute show, so it's not linked to or endorsed by the original artists.
The venue is the Historic Hotel Ballroom at the Omni William Penn, a downtown landmark. The ballroom opened in 1916 as a Renaissance Revival piece by Benno Janssen and Franklin Abbott, with Beaux-Arts and Art Deco elements and room for 1,200 people. It's a big space, but the candle lighting is meant to bring it down to something more intimate.
