Restorative ninety-minute sound bath led by Hamid Jabbar with crystal singing bowls, gong and flute on the rooftop of Denū Hotel & Spa.
Hamid Jabbar leads a Full Moon Sound Bath at the Denū Hotel & Spa on Monday, October 26, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The session takes place in the Solstice Room, the hotel's rooftop space, and runs about ninety minutes. It's part of a monthly gathering Jabbar holds to restore balance and reconnect with the rhythm of the season, and it fits into a wider series of sound meditation events he leads around the Phoenix area.
Jabbar has been teaching sound since 2018. He came to it after a music scholarship to NYU and nine years practicing law in California and Arizona, and since then he's studied gongs, singing bowls and flutes. The session works with crystal singing bowls, gentle chimes, gong and flute to encourage deep relaxation and quiet the mind, with the rooftop setting adding to the atmosphere. The work is rooted in nada yoga, where sound is directed toward the body to move energy and quiet the mind.
The venue is the Denū Hotel & Spa, a modern sanctuary in Downtown Phoenix inspired by Arizona's golden hour, home to Solstone Holistic Spa. The Full Moon Sound Bath is one of the events hosted there.
