Weekly hands-on maker experience for young artists, with a new theme and art-making activity around an artwork on view at the Phoenix Art Museum.
Create Playdate is back at the Phoenix Art Museum on Saturday, October 31, from 11 AM to 3 PM. It's a hands-on maker experience for young artists, run from a mobile art cart that moves through the galleries, so the making happens right there among the art instead of in a separate classroom.
Each session is built around a specific artwork on view, with a fresh theme every week. There's an art-making activity to do at the museum, and they provide projects to take home and keep the momentum going. It's designed for kids to get their hands dirty and actually create something, not just look at the walls.
This particular date is part of a longer run. The program ran on Saturdays in July—the 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th—and picks back up with October 31, then continues through November 7, 14, 21, and 28, and into December 5, 12, 19, and 26. If you're planning a few visits, you can come back multiple times and find a different theme each time.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Phoenix and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
