Cheese and Halloween candy pairing class held at the Philly Cheese School on South 9th Street.
Philly Cheese School is running a Halloween candy and cheese pairing class this October, and it's exactly what it sounds like: they're taking the candy you usually save for the kids and pairing it with cheese. If you've ever wondered if a piece of chocolate or a gummy bear actually works with a sharp cheddar or a creamy brie, this is your chance to find out. It's a seasonal twist on their usual format, and it's a good way to get into the spirit without having to throw a full-blown party yourself.
The class is called Trick or Cheese, and the whole thing revolves around that one pairing—Halloween candy and cheese. You'll spend the session tasting through different combinations, seeing which sweets play well with which cheeses and which ones definitely don't. It's as much about the discovery as it is about the eating, and you'll walk away with a few ideas for your own board if you're planning to host something later in the month.

There are four different dates to choose from, so you can pick the one that fits your schedule best: Sunday, October 18; Saturday, October 24; Thursday, October 29; and Friday, October 30. The school is located at 701 South 9th Street in Philadelphia, right in the heart of the city. Each session costs $65, and since there are four dates spread across the latter half of the month, you've got plenty of room to find a night that works.
