Adult sip-and-paint session led by Philadelphia artist Flygirrl, with a canvas to keep, paint, brushes, an easel, towels and water, and a lite charcuterie board.
Flygirrl is leading an adult sip and paint session at NoName Gallery on Saturday, October 24, from 5 to 8 PM. It's a three-hour window in Chestnut Hill, and you don't need any painting experience to join in.
Flygirrl is the professional name of Stacey Wilson, a visual artist, muralist, graphic designer, event producer and educator whose career in the creative arts and nightlife spans more than 25 years. She's a Philadelphia Creative Ambassador, named by The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Board, and her murals hang at The Fillmore in Philadelphia. Her work has appeared on MTV's The Real World Philadelphia and in Jill Scott's poetry book The Moments, The Minutes, The Hours, and she's hosted private parties with Prince.
On the production side, she's the co-producer of Tastytreats, billed as Philadelphia's longest-running party, which she runs alongside Questlove of The Roots. Over the years she's produced events with Q-Tip, Biz Markie, Mos Def, De La Soul, Bilal and MC Lyte. This session brings her to the other side of the room, leading the painting rather than producing the party.
