Celebrating 58 years of divine decadence, Philadelphia's longest-running Halloween tradition with costumes, judged competitions and dancing.
Henri David presents his Halloween Ball at Commonwealth Plaza in the Kimmel Center on Saturday, October 31. It's a Philadelphia tradition that's been running since 1968, and this year marks 58 years of what the organizers call "divine decadence."
The night is built around costumes, judged competitions and dancing. It's billed as the city's longest-running theatrical costume ball, so the costume part is the pointβthe whole thing is a chance to go all-out with your outfit and see what everyone else brings to the floor. The ball draws its guests from across the city, and the costumes are the main event.
