Cinema screening of 'The Uprising', a 128-minute film dramatising the 1381 Peasants' Revolt, at Vue Oxford.
The Uprising opens at Vue Cinema in Oxford on Friday 23 October, with screenings running through to Thursday 29 October. It's a dramatisation of the 1381 Peasants' Revolt, and it runs for 128 minutes.
If you're not familiar with the history, the Peasants' Revolt was a major uprising in late 14th-century England, when thousands of people from the south and east rose up against the government and the poll tax. The film brings that to life, so it's a good one to catch if you've got an interest in the period.
Vue Oxford is over at Ozone Leisure Park on Grenoble Road, a nine-screen cinema with more than 1,380 seats. They show 2D and 3D films in 4K with Dolby Surround Sound, and they also programme Big Screen Events like concerts, sport, dance, opera and theatre.
