Screenings of Rob Savage's horror film about an eight-year-old girl who confronts a sinister entity emerging from her bedroom closet.
Other Mommy is playing at Vue Cinema in Oxford through to 29 October, and if you're in the mood for a proper horror, it's a good one to catch. It's directed by Rob Savage and stars Jessica Chastain and Jay Duplass, with Dichen Lachman and Arabella Olivia Clark in the supporting cast. The story follows Bela, an eight-year-old girl living in a home plagued by marital problems, who comes face to face with a sinister entity that emerges from her bedroom closet. She gives the presence the name 'Other Mommy', and as the film goes on, it becomes increasingly threatening to her and to her family. It runs 94 minutes and first came out on 9 October 2026, so it's still fresh in the cinema.
