The Bluetones play the O2 Academy Oxford on their UK tour marking the 30th anniversary of their debut album 'Expecting to Fly'.
The Bluetones are playing O2 Academy Oxford on Saturday 24 October, one of only two UK dates on their Expecting to Fly 30th anniversary tour. They're marking three decades since their debut album, which entered the UK charts at number one and knocked Oasis' What's The Story (Morning Glory) off the top spot for a week. Its lead single, 'Slight Return', reached number two. The record has since sold over a million copies, and the band can point to three Top 10 albums and 13 Top 40 singles.
On the night, they'll play Expecting to Fly in full, alongside fan favourites from their back catalogue. It's a rare thing these days, but all four original members are still there: Mark Morriss on vocals, Adam Devlin on guitar, Eds Chesters on drums and Scott Morriss on bass. The Oxford date is one of just two UK shows on the tour, so it's one of only two chances to hear the debut played through in one go.
