The Big Ritzy Quiz

The Big Ritzy Quiz is back at Phoenix Picturehouse on Sunday 8 November, the monthly film quiz night run by Picturehouses. It's a two-and-a-half-hour session, running from 7.30pm to 10pm, and it's one of those things that's easier to just turn up to than to plan in advance.

Entry is by donation on the door, with a suggested £2 or more per person, and all the money raised goes to the partner charity Refuge. You can't book tickets online, so it's first come, first served — if you're keen, it's worth getting there a bit early. After 8pm, the upstairs bar is for over-18s only, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a younger crowd along for the quiz.

The night's home, Phoenix Picturehouse, is a century-old cinema in Oxford with two screens and a friendly upstairs bar. It's also where they run a Kids' Club presented with UNICEF, which brings families together through a shared love of cinema. The quiz itself is part of that same community feel, a regular fixture for anyone who knows their way around a film credit.

So, if you've got a few trivia answers rattling around your head, head to Phoenix Picturehouse on Sunday 8 November. It runs from 7.30pm to 10pm, entry is by donation on the door — £2+ per person — with all proceeds going to Refuge, and places are first come, first served.
