Interactive walking performance by WhatNot Theatre staged around Pegasus Theatre on Magdalen Road, part of the Oxford Christmas Light Festival 2026.
WhatNot Theatre bring The Battle of Night and Day to Pegasus Theatre on Saturday 14 November, an interactive walking performance that takes place around the theatre on Magdalen Road rather than inside it. It's one of the highlights of the Oxford Christmas Light Festival 2026, which runs from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November, so the show falls right in the middle of the festival weekend.
Because it's a walking performance, you're not sitting in a seat watching a stage; you're moving around the Pegasus site while the show happens around you. It's an interactive piece, so you'll be part of the action as you go, rather than just observing from the sidelines. The title, The Battle of Night and Day, gives you the general idea of the clash at the heart of it, and the whole thing is staged outdoors on Magdalen Road, so it's a good one to come to with warm clothes on.
WhatNot Theatre are the company behind it, and they've set up four separate sessions across the day, so you can pick the time that suits you best. There are morning slots at 10:30am and 11:30am, and afternoon ones at 1:00pm and 2:00pm. It's free to attend, so you don't need to worry about tickets or booking in advance.
