Zach Cregger's horror reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise, in which a medical courier fights for survival during an outbreak.
Resident Evil is showing at Vue Cinema in Oxford, and it's in its final run — it opened on 18 September and stays on the screens until 29 October, so you've still got a few weeks to catch it. It's a reinvention of the franchise, not a continuation of the stories you might remember, and it's directed by Zach Cregger, who also did Weapons and Barbarian.
This one starts with Bryan, a medical courier, who's just out on a delivery when a sudden outbreak hits. From there it turns into a non-stop race for survival as one horrifying night collapses around him in chaos. It's a tight 1 hour 34 minutes, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. The cast includes Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Paul Walter Hauser.

Tickets are between £6.49 and £9.49, and the film is for ages 15 and over, so you'll need a valid photographic ID with you.
