Other Mommy

Other Mommy is playing at Vue Cinema in Oxford, where it's running from 16 October to 29 October. It's a horror film directed by Rob Savage, and it's been in cinemas since 9 October.

The story centres on Bela, an eight-year-old girl living in a home plagued by marital problems. She comes face to face with a sinister entity that emerges from her bedroom closet, and she gives the presence the name 'Other Mommy'. As the film goes on, it becomes increasingly threatening to her and her family. It's a chilling setup that keeps the focus on the child's perspective.

On screen, you'll see Jessica Chastain, Jay Duplass, Dichen Lachman and Arabella Olivia Clark. It's certified for general viewing, though some scenes may be unsuitable for young children and parental guidance is suggested.

Vue Oxford is inside the Ozone Leisure Park on Grenoble Road (OX4 4XP). It's a nine-screen cinema with more than 1,380 seats, showing films in 4K with Dolby Surround Sound. Beyond the usual run, they also stage Big Screen Events including concerts, sport, dance, opera and theatre. Tickets for Other Mommy start from £6.49.
