Screening of 'Shorts for the Planet', a collection of short films about the natural world, presented as part of the Norwich Film Festival 2026.
Shorts for the Planet comes to Phoenix Picturehouse on Friday 13 November, as part of the Norwich Film Festival 2026. It's a collection of short films celebrating the beauty of the outdoors and exploring our connection to the natural world, while reflecting on the ways we shape, experience and protect the environments around us.
Because it's a programme of shorts rather than a single feature, you'll see a handful of different films in one sitting, each with its own take on the outdoors. The common thread is the natural world and how we fit into it, so it's a good one if you're into nature, conservation or just the way we interact with the wild spaces around us.
It's being screened at Phoenix Picturehouse, a century-old cinema in Oxford with two screens and a friendly upstairs bar. The Phoenix is well-known for 'Phoenix Nights', their series of cult classics handpicked by the team, and their 'Kids' Club', which they run with UNICEF to bring families together through cinema. This screening is part of the Norwich Film Festival 2026, so it's one of the festival's titles showing here in Oxford.
