Screenings of NAZA, a documentary shot on the rooftops of Tel Aviv about the systems behind the mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Naza opens at Phoenix Picturehouse on Tuesday 20 October, and it's staying for a long run. It's an 80-minute documentary by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, and it's one of the most vital releases of 2026.
The film was shot at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv. It records secret conversations in which the people who designed and operated the systems behind Israel's calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza reveal what happened. Much of what the film brings to light was published almost immediately by The Guardian — one of the film's producers — in collaboration with +972 Magazine and Local Call following the October 7th attacks.
Abraham and Szor were two of the four co-directors of the 2024 Oscar winner No Other Land. Between them, they're an investigative journalist and a cinematographer, and they describe making Naza out of a sense of obligation to examine these systems from their position as Israelis. That background informs the whole thing: the secret recordings, the focus on the people inside the machine, and the way it works from the inside out.
