Brand new comedy by Grace Bartle about five middle-aged siblings who descend into chaos at a 50th birthday party.
Mercy of Sisters comes to Pegasus Theatre on Saturday 24 October, a new comedy by Grace Bartle. It's a family gathering that doesn't stay polite for long: five middle-aged siblings come together for a 50th birthday party, and the whole thing devolves into carnage as one sister tries to finally fly the nest. If you've ever spent a long weekend with your own siblings, you'll probably recognise the territory.
Bartle is a Cokethorpe alumna, and her journey into playwriting started back during her school years. This isn't her first time putting the show on stage, either — she ran it for three nights at a community venue back in June, so this is a chance to catch it in a proper theatre setting. The story centres on that particular kind of sibling friction that only seems to get worse as you get older, and the birthday party provides the perfect pressure cooker for it all to boil over.
