Screenings of David Ayer's survival thriller 'Heart of the Beast', starring Brad Pitt, at Vue Cinema Oxford.
Heart of the Beast is showing at Vue Cinema in Oxford, with screenings running from 25 September through to 29 October. It's an adventure thriller from David Ayer, and it's got Brad Pitt in the lead as Special Forces officer James Belmont. He's not alone for most of it, though — he's accompanied by his combat dog, Odin.
The story kicks off when the two find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash. From there, it's a fight for survival against the elements, and the dog is as much a part of the struggle as the man. It's a 12A, so it's fine for younger teens, and it runs for 101 minutes — an hour and forty-one, if you're timing your evening around it.
Brad Pitt takes the lead, and he's joined by J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. It's David Ayer directing, and the whole thing sits in that survivalist territory where the landscape is as much of a character as the people in it.
