Halloween Comedy Club in association with Rock the ATIC

The Halloween Comedy Club is coming to New Theatre Oxford on Friday 23 October, a spooky stand-up special put on in association with Rock the ATIC. It's not in the main auditorium, though — the night is held in the Piano Bar, so it's a smaller, more contained room than you might expect from the venue. The whole thing is built around three upcoming comics, and it runs for about ninety minutes, with drink offers available throughout the night.

Because it's in the Piano Bar rather than the main house, it's a bit more of a late-night, club-style setup. Three comics take turns on the mic, and with ninety minutes to go around, each gets a fair bit of room to work. It's a good spot if you're into seeing comics who are still on their way up, rather than a big-name headliner. The association with Rock the ATIC brings its own energy to the mix, and the Halloween theme sets the tone for the evening.

One thing to keep in mind before you book: the show is strictly for audiences aged 18 and over, so it's an adults-only night. If you're planning on making a proper evening of it, the Piano Bar is right in the heart of the city, so it's easy to get to and just as easy to wander off to a pub or a late-night spot afterwards. The drink offers run throughout, so you can keep your glass topped up while the comics do their thing.

It kicks off at 10:00pm on Friday 23 October at New Theatre Oxford, 24-26 George St, Oxford OX1 2AG. Tickets start from £18.20.
