Screening of the live stage production of Hadestown: The Musical at Vue Cinema Oxford.
Hadestown is coming to Vue Cinema in Oxford, starting on Saturday 24 October. It's not a filmed adaptation of the musical, but a recording of the live stage production at the Lyric Theatre, so you're seeing the show as it was performed on stage rather than a version shot for the screen.
The story follows an impoverished musician who sets out on a quest to rescue his wife, trapped in another realm. It's a retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, and because this is a recording of the stage show, you'll see the production as it played at the Lyric Theatre, with the live energy of the theatre brought to the cinema screen.
