Free weekly Sunday afternoon session of nature-themed activities, crafts and family trails run by museum volunteers for all ages.
Family-Friendly Sundays are on at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History every Sunday afternoon, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. It's a two-hour session, and it's free to join, with no booking required. If you're looking for something to do with the kids on a Sunday, this is one of those easy ones you can just turn up to.
The sessions are run by museum volunteers and built around nature-themed activities, crafts and family trails. The activities are designed for all ages, so it works whether you've got toddlers in tow or older children who still fancy getting stuck into something. The trails take you through the museum, and the crafts give everyone a chance to make something to take home. It's all nature-focused, which fits the setting perfectly.
It's a welcoming setup: the museum is wheelchair accessible and there's seating available throughout, so you're not expected to be on your feet the whole time. Just a heads-up that there are no hearing loops on site. The sessions run every Sunday, except for 27 December 2026, and the next one after that is 28 March 2027.
