Halloween-themed arts and crafts workshop with creative activities and interactive games for children aged 6 to 10.
New Theatre Oxford is hosting a Half Term Halloween Crafternoon on Wednesday 28 October, a workshop for children aged 6 to 10. It runs from 1.00pm to 3.30pm, so it's a good length for a half-term afternoon without taking up the whole day.
The session is built around Halloween-themed arts and crafts, creative activities and interactive games, so it's not just sitting at a table making one thing. All the materials are provided on the day, and every child takes home their own handmade Halloween creations. It's designed for the 6 to 10 age group, which keeps the room roughly the same age and means the activities are pitched for them.
It's held at the New Theatre Oxford on George Street, which has been a theatre for nearly 170 years. The first building opened in 1836, followed by a second in 1886 and the current one in 1934. Now owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group, it stages everything from ballet and opera to musicals, and there are several bars and a cloakroom on site.
