Horror film about a Hollywood star who becomes a revenge monster, screened at Vue Cinema Oxford.
Clayface opens at Vue Cinema on Thursday 29 October, and it's running through to Thursday 5 November, with several screenings every day. It's also showing at Curzon Oxford and The Oxford Cinema and Cafe, so you've got a few different spots across the city to choose from if one is easier to get to than the others.
The film follows a rising Hollywood star who descends into a horrifying, revenge-filled monster when scientific ambition strips him of his identity and humanity. It's a transformation story that starts with the glitz of the movie industry and ends in a very different place, with the lead character losing his sense of self as he turns into something barely recognisable. The whole thing runs for 108 minutes, so it's just under two hours from start to finish.
One thing to keep in mind is the age rating: it's an 18, so it's definitely for an adult audience rather than a family outing. Between the transformation and the revenge that drives the second half, it's the kind of thing that sits firmly on the darker end of the scale.
