Screening of Nisha Ganatra's body-swap sequel Freakier Friday, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, at Phoenix Picturehouse.
Freakier Friday is showing at Phoenix Picturehouse in Oxford from Friday 30 October, as part of the Cinefest Film programme. It's the sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy Freaky Friday, and Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are both back in their original roles as Tess and Anna Coleman.
It picks up two decades after the first swap. This time, the chaos spreads to the next generation: Tess's ditzy teenage daughter and Anna's uptight soon-to-be stepdaughter swap bodies after a mysterious earthquake triggers a new round of mayhem. It's the same premise as the first, just shifted forward a generation. The film runs 111 minutes and carries a PG certificate.
Behind the camera is Nisha Ganatra, who directs the sequel. The story keeps the family dynamic at its centre, with the two lead roles returning to the actors who first played them over twenty years ago.
