Screening of Sacha Baron Cohen's mockumentary 'Ali G: Who Iz I?' at Vue Cinema Oxford.
Ali G: Who Iz I? is screening at Vue Cinema in Oxford this weekend, with three sessions across Friday and Saturday. It's the feature film that took Sacha Baron Cohen's character from the sketches and the TV series into a full-length movie, so if you've only ever seen the clips, this is the whole story in one go.
The plot kicks off with Ali G having spent twenty years 'chillin, tokin' and bonin'', only to be hit with the shock that his long-term girlfriend, Julie, is eight months pregnant. From there, the film follows him as he tries to wrap his head around the news and figure out what comes next. It's a comedy built on the character's particular way of seeing the world, and it runs for 89 minutes, so it's a relatively tight watch that doesn't overstay its welcome.

If you're planning to go, you've got a few options to choose from. On Friday 23 October, there are two screenings: one at 8.30pm and another later at 10.45pm. If Friday is a bit of a stretch, there's a third showing on Saturday 24 October at 6.00pm. Between the two Friday slots and the Saturday evening one, you can pick the time that fits your weekend best, whether you're heading out for a late one or keeping it to a Saturday night in. The film is 89 minutes long, so you'll be out and about well before midnight on any of those dates.
